Bernice L. McFadden Longlisted for Women's Prize 2019
Praise Song for the Butterflies by award-winning author Bernice L. McFadden has been longlisted for the 2019 Women's Prize for Fiction.
Huge congratulations are in order for Bernice L. McFadden who has been longlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction for her powerful novel Praise Song for the Butterflies. The multiple-award-winning author was one of only 16 outstanding writers to be nominated for the prestigious prize which celebrates the most outstanding writing of the year by women, in English.
McFadden is also the author of over fifteen novels, including The Book of Harlan, winner of the 2017 NAACP Image Award and the American Book Award, Gathering of Waters, Loving Donovan and Sugar.
